Employee Shuttle Bus Routing Problem: A Case Study

This paper describes the real-life application of a personnel service shuttle routing problem. The problem in question is type vehicle with special constraints. To solve problem, mathematical model was developed, which aims to minimize total travel time employees, including walking times shuttle-stops and spent on shuttles. These were added by considering between designated stops, each spends stop shuttles from starting points destination point. goal programming coded solved using commercial solver IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio. actual bus stops employee calculated according data provided company. employees also regulated via inclusion some set covering constraints model. When numerical results compared current practice company, it has been observed that savings quite significant.
